DVSA CEO Finally Resigns

There will be many driving instructors across the country who will be thinking that the resignation of DVSA CEO Loveday Ryder has been a long time coming. It has been 5 years that she held the position. Owner of the BIG TOM franchise, Tom Ingram, gives his personal take on her performance:

“I have been a registered driving instructor since 2009, and so I have personally seen a handful of DVSA leaders and Loveday Ryder was, by quite some way, the worse I believe we have all had to endure. I have given solid reasons why I say that, backed up by evidence in the ADI Union forum.

Moving on, I hope that the right person, with the correct background and experience and skills will now take over, and start to mend some of the very deep fractures that Ryder created in her time.  What saddens me is how willing and seemingly satisfied certain prominent members in the driving training industry were to accommodate such an incapable leader for as long as they did.

She did a disservice to not only her staff, but to forty odd thousand ADI’s and all the millions of members of public who have had to try and weave their way through her process changes that have proven to be so ineffective over the years. High time to move on.”
